Email hello@cookre.app and describe what you were doing when it went wrong. If it involves one specific recipe, say where you imported it from — that is usually enough to reproduce it.
Getting recipes in
From a website or another app. Use the share sheet and pick Cook:RE. The page is read and comes back as ingredients and steps you can edit.
From a cookbook or a card. Photograph the page from the app. Flat lighting and the whole recipe in frame give the best result.
If an import comes back wrong. Every field is editable — fix the amount, the unit, or the wording and your version is what you cook from. If a site fails consistently, send us the URL.
Scaling and units
Scaling works per ingredient rather than by one blanket multiplier, so amounts stay measurable. Switch the whole recipe between cups and spoons, ounces, or grams from the recipe screen. If a weight looks wrong for your brand of an ingredient, edit it and the app will use your number.
Timers
Times written into a step — “rise 2 hours”, “bake 35 minutes” — become timers with one tap. They run on your lock screen, and you can run as many at once as the recipe needs. Timers need notification permission to alert you when the app is in the background.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the one-time purchase are handled by Apple. To restore a purchase on a new device, open the app and choose Restore Purchases. To cancel a subscription, use Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone; we cannot cancel it for you.
Backups
Your library lives on your device and is included in your iCloud device backup. The app can also export your whole library to a file you keep yourself.
Requirements
iOS 18 or later, on iPhone.
